The chapters within the American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region are committed to educating our communities on how to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. We are able to provide presentations on the following topics:
Presentation on Disaster Preparedness: Do you know how to make your family and home safer from fire, flooding, hurricanes or other disasters? A Red Cross expert can provide disaster specific information to help you prepare for, prevent and respond to your area.
American Red Cross Overview Presentation: This presentation covers the many services provided by the Red Cross throughout the Mid-Florida Region as well as how you can get involved through volunteering.
Get to Know Us Before You Need Us Presentation: This presentation will familiarize members of the military and their families with Red Cross armed forces services including emergency communications and counseling.
Volunteering with the Red Cross Presentation: Learn about the important role that volunteers play in our Red Cross mission and the many opportunities available to you.
CPR, First Aid Presentation This presentation discusses the variety of services available. Services range from community and workplace programs, babysitters training, CPR and First Aid courses, to what an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is and how it works, who needs one, how much they cost and how to get one. Note: This course does not provide certification in lifesaving training.
The Red Cross is also available to participate in local events such as community and health fairs.
