Become a Hero for the Red Cross

(

(Daytona Beach)  It's hard to imagine a world without heroes. Every day, the American Red Cross trains and deploys heroes; they are the backbone of every hometown. The Eddy Storm Protection company in Daytona Beach is one such hero for the Florida's Coast to Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. When thieves stole supplies intended for disaster victims late last year, Eddy Storm Protection came to the rescue by donating time and resources.

This Wednesday, March 3, the company will host the “Heroes for the American Red Cross” campaign kick-off. The press event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at 1000 North Nova Road in Daytona Beach, FL 32117.  Several other “Heroes” will also be announced.

Florida’s Coast to Coast chapterhopes to raise $30,000 during this year’s campaign which will support Red Cross services including disaster relief, assistance for fire victims, emergency military communications, first aid and CPR training and disaster preparedness information for our community.

“Heroes for the American Red Cross” is a grassroots campaign where local business people, school groups, church groups, civic clubs, and individuals pledge to raise $1000 for their local Red Cross chapter. In addition to generating financial support for Red Cross services, the Heroes campaign also recognizes local individuals or groups who have made a positive community impact.

The Coast to Coast Chapter is still taking nominations for community Heroes in the following categories: Community Safety, Good Samaritan (Adult, Youth, and Group), Military, Education, and Environment. Sponsorship opportunities are also still available.

For more information please contact Dan Roll, Florida’s Coast to Coast Chapter Executive.
