(Ocala) Florida’s Coast to Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is pleased to announce the opening of its Ocala Annex, located at 932 N. Magnolia Ave. Suite 1600. The chapter, which serves Marion, Lake, Sumter, Volusia, Flagler, Citrus, and Hernando counties, now has office locations in Ocala, Leesburg, Daytona Beach, and Lecanto. The chapter will host an open house at the facility on February 18, 2010 from 2 pm – 4 pm. Community partners and the public are encouraged to attend.
The Ocala location will be staffed by Red Cross volunteers and be open each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am – 12:30 pm. The office will also host evening and weekend first aid and CPR courses, babysitter training, and a variety of other preparedness related training opportunities. Additionally, the facility will be utilized for disaster related operations.
The opening of the Ocala Annex was made possible, in part, from a grant from the Marion County United Way Endowment Fund.
