CPR/AED Adult Back
Focusing on typical automated external defibrillator (AED) equipment, this course features hands-on simulation, lectures, and live and video demonstrations.
Participants learn to:
- Call and work with EMS
- Care for conscious and unconscious choking victims
- Perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults
- Avoid blood borne pathogen exposure
- Use an AED safely for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest
CPR Infant/Child Back
Designed for anyone who cares for children. Combines a video, live demonstrations, hands-on practice and discussion to engage every learning style. Participants will learn to:
- Call and work with EMS
- Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children
Under 8 years old
- Develop an emergency action plan
- Prevent and reduce hazards in the home and play area
Standard First Aid Back
Lectures, interactive video demonstrations, discussions and hands-on training teach participants how to:
- Recognize emergency situations
- Check the scene and call for help
- Avoid blood borne pathogen exposure
- Care for wounds, bone and soft-tissue injuries, head and spinal injuries, burns, and heat and cold emergencies
- Manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning
- Minimize shock
Babysitter’s Training Back
This course equips young people to handle the responsible work of a Babysitter. Combining video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for the most complete learning experience. Participants learn to:
- Perform first aid and get professional medical help fast
- Identify common safety hazards and prevent injuries
- Make good, responsible decisions
- Supervise infants through school-age decisions
- Choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games
- Perform basic care routines like diapering, feeding and dressing
SFA with CPR/AED Adult Plus
Infant/Child CPR Back
Community First Aid and Safety is great for schools, families and childcare workers.
The complete course combines CPR and first aid training to teach participants how to:
- Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants, children and adults
- Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains and strains
- Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
- Minimize the effects of shock
- Recognize emergencies and take action
- Understand the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
CPR/AED For Professional Rescuer Back
Designed for any individual who has a duty to respond to emergencies. The 7 ½ course combines lectures and video with hands-on skill training. Participants learn to:
- Recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants
- Two-rescuer CPR
- Use of resuscitation and bag-valve masks
- Use of an AED for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest
